Steiner, Kim : English 10
English 10 is a course that focuses on improving students written and oral communication skills, reading comprehension and analysis, research, vocabulary and grammar skills.  English 10 uses an integrated curriculum so all skills are taught within each unit.  The course has been aligned with the Common Core Standards and will focus on the skills students are expected to master by the time they exit grade 10.
Section Announcements
Welcome to English 10 with Mrs. Steiner
I am excited for the new year to begin. The English 10 teachers have worked diligently all summer to update our course to mee the new Core Standards mandated by the state of Wisconsin.  Some of the units and lessons will stay the same while others will be brand spanking new.  We will be studying six thematic units of study this year:  Search for Identity, Communication Essentials, Relationships, Overcoming Adversity, Rites of Passage and Survival.  Within each of these units students will be improving the following skills : reading and analyzing both fiction and non-fiction texts, writing  , grammar , speaking , research , and vocabulary.  So saddle up, and prepare for the ride.  It should be a good one.
